Variability in coastal water quality can significantly influence the growth and morphometric traits of the green mussel (Perna viridis). However, the key water quality drivers and the most responsive morphometric traits remain inadequately characterized. This study aimed to identify the key water quality drivers of P. viridis morphometrics, determine the most responsive traits, and assess the most favorable growth conditions across sampling locations. A total of 790 green mussels were collected, and in situ water quality was measured at 4 stations over two sampling periods. Associations between water quality variables and morphometric traits were evaluated using Spearman’s rank correlation and visualized as a heatmap. Salinity showed the strongest positive association with shell height (ρ = 0.764), whereas dissolved oxygen showed the strongest negative association (ρ = −0.462). Shell height was identified as the most responsive morphometric trait, and Station 4, an aquaculture area, exhibited the most stable conditions, as indicated by larger mussels relative to the other stations.
